Senseless

Virtually everything

That humans do

Is senseless.

Everything that humans do

Is a result of conditioning.

Rather than a result

Of choice.

No human

Knows why he does

What he does.

Everything he does

Has little efficiency.

But he continues to do it.

He does not remember

When he began doing it.

He just did it.

And he did it

Because everyone around him did it,

Or because it is “okay” to do it,

Or because it is “encouraged.”

The human certainly has a brain.

But it has collected cobwebs

Since around the age of 3.

Everything humans do

Is for infinitesimally little yield.

No one is going to solve their problems.

Because no one knows

Where problems come from.

No one is going to make them happy.

Because no one knows

What happiness really is.

No one is going to make them successful.

Because success is not a function of hard work.

The world and its experts

Know only Platitudes.

When asked a question,

They refer to their book of bumper stickers

And spout a quote.

Patience is a virtue.

Hard work is the key to success.

Have faith and it will come.

Kindness begets kindness.

And on and on.

What humans are not told

Are the conditions.

The fine print

Is always omitted.

The punchline

Is not Truth.

A snippet of a whole

Is not Truth.

Only The Whole

Is Truth.

That which is most prevalent

And most popular

And mot oft spouted and written

Is always a lie.

If a human truly wants something

He needs the Truth

About that thing.

Where it comes from.

Where it does not come from.

How it arises.

What makes it last.

Otherwise

It is fairy tales and tabloids,

And fluff and smoke.

A human’s life

Is senseless.

It could be So Much.

It could give him So Much.

He could Arrive at So Much.

Instead

He lives as an automaton

Doing repetitive and senseless actions

That have never gotten him anywhere.

He comes into the world,

Does a bunch of senseless things,

Then dies.

What does a man do

That is senseless.

It is far more appropriate to ask

What he does

That is Not senseless.

His philosophies,

His beliefs,

How he thinks the world works,

He he believes that life works,

What he thinks the mind to be . . .

He knows nothing at all.

And while it is not a crime

To know nothing,

It certainly carries an unfathomable cost.

One Can move

From knowing nothing

To knowing something.

But only if he truly wants to.

Which the human rarely does.

One may look at everything he does

And if he looks into it

And if he is Sincere,

He will see the senseless in it.

And he will see

For how many years and decades

He has done these senseless things.

Could he be called stupid?

Perhaps.

Lazy?

Perhaps.

Idiotic?

Perhaps.

But whatever he may be called

Is not important.

The importance lies

In his profoundly tragic loss

Of opportunity.

Namaste.
